The days are long, the nights are short and filled with the chirping of crickets. The birds chirp cheerful songs and the bees buzz from flower to flower. Every now and then our peacock interrupts the silence with its call. The lush gardens with their fruit trees and ripening fruit provide a home for a multitude of butterflies and other insects. Our pond glistens in the sunlight, the shady spots under the old trees in the grounds are ideal for relaxing with a good read, as are the private balconies and terraces of our apartments. The days are filled with activities - whether hiking or cycling through the surrounding woods, immersing yourself in one of the nearby lakes or in South Tyrol's culture and history.

The mountain above Brixen offers you all kinds of opportunities to make your summer holiday varied and entertaining: Marvellous views await you on a hike high above the Eisack Valley – on the Brixen High Trail and on the panoramic hiking trail to the Rossalm. With the BrixenCard, one ascent and descent with the Plose cable cars is free of charge every day (24.05.-19.10.2025) Although both hiking trails have small inclines, they are also suitable for children. A mountain inn with a children's playground awaits you on the panoramic trail to the Rossalm. Fantastic views of the Dolomite peaks of the Peitlerkofel and the Geisler peaks of Afers and Villnöss can be enjoyed on the WoodyWalk family hiking trail.

A fast adventure

Biking on the Plose

The cycle tours on Brixen's local mountain lead along mostly wide paths to the most beautiful viewpoints of the Dolomites with the Peitlerkofel and Geisler. Thanks to e-bikes, the routes are easily manageable even for average cyclists. As a holder of the BrixenCard, you can use the Plose cable cars once a day free of charge and, of course, transport your bike up the mountain in the gondola. There is also a bike park and a rapid downhill run. Another tip for the particularly daring: during a tandem flight with a paraglider from the Plose into the valley, you can experience the lightness of being as well as a breathtaking bird's eye view of the Eisack Valley. A ride on the PloseBob is particularly fun.

There are so many things you shouldn't miss out on during your summer holiday. Our tasty organic farm produce is definitely one of them. You will also find a riding stable at Schloss Campan’s neighbouring farm, which offers courses and rides.

Summer magic in paradise for nature lovers

Enjoy leisurely family hikes, challenging summit tours with magnificent views of the valley from above, idyllic mountain huts, and crystal-clear mountain lakes like the Radlsee await. Discover the charming village of Feldthurns and the surrounding vineyards on a leisurely hike. The Latzfonser Kreuz is a popular pilgrimage site with impressive views of the Dolomites. The Valser Valley boasts several beauties: from the idyllic Fane Alm with its traditional huts, to the wildly romantic Altfasstal Valley, to the Brixner Hütte with its delicious regional specialties, and up to the Wilder See and the Wilde Kreuzspitze, a popular 3,000-meter peak. The Dolomites boast numerous via ferratas from A to E.

Many numerous kilometres along the valleys

Cycling in the Eisack Valley

Don't forget to bring your bikes, as the München-Venezia long-distance cycle path leads right past our castle and farm with its orchards. Of course, you can also cycle just a single, short section and visit neighbouring Klausen, for example. You can reach the artists' town in around an hour's journey and can also refresh yourself in the outdoor pool there. For the return journey, you are welcome to take the train - thanks to the BrixenCard, you can use all public transport free of charge. Take a closer look at South Tyrol's cycle paths!
