New life begins to sprout at Campan Castle every spring. The animals look forward to eating the first fresh green of the young plants. The clear mountain air and the finally warming sun tempt you to spend time outdoors. The apple trees in the valley are dressed in white and pink, while the last snow on the mountains retreats to ever higher altitudes. The meadows glow in bright green and the first flowers tentatively stretch their heads upwards. In our magnificent garden, the first culinary herbs are already waiting to be processed – as are numerous attractive excursion destinations that are waiting to be explored either on a hike or by bike.

Apple blossom season

Work on the farm begins with pruning. If a frosty night is imminent, Klemens goes out in the early hours of the morning and activates the frost irrigation system. A protective coat of ice covers the sensitive blossoms and stops the centre of the flower from freezing. On the Natz/Schabs apple plateau, the blossom festival on 1st May is an event of regional importance. The variety of cultural events could not be greater. While in Brixen you can attend the annual Cassian procession on the 2nd Sunday after Easter, in June the Alpenflair rock festival attracts thousands of fans from all over Europe to the Eisack Valley. Find the event that suits you!
